Free Pre-Run Routine

Because I love and appreciate my followers, I'd love to share with you the morning warm up routine that has changed my running life.
Why? Well, I'd love to help you feel great all day post run as opposed to energy less and tight post run.
At some point in my running career, I stopped dynamic stretching in search for another minute in the day. With a career, family, and training for 3 the Olympic Trials, I was "burning the candle at both ends."
This seemed to be working for me- for a time. I had a lot of success running Chicago, New York, CIM, Houston, New Orleans, Us championships, and the Olympic Trials.
BUT.....
I failed to confront the tight and weak tissues that were day by day getting me more and more STUCK.
Don't get me wrong, I went to the chiropractor, got weekly massages, and did some haphazard foam rolling- but I was missing that 5 minute dynamic/form pre-run warm up in exchange for another 5 minutes of running or showering, or domesticating- lol.
I needed a simple routine that would get me primed for the work ahead on those early morning days I need to get that run in.
Just like training takes patience and consistency to show results, so do tightness and injuries!
And, anyone who has been in an injury cycle knows just how tough that is- and while we can all get out of these cycles, it takes a lot of mental and physical fortitude. So why not AVOID IT completely.
So, if you are reading this and are a runner- new, veteran, recreational, elite, you, old, medium, whatever! If you've stopped implementing a dynamic warm up and strength routine into your training routine, you are headed for disaster.

Do it every morning pre run. Just do it. 5 minutes. That's it!
Day after day- watch your runs and body become more powerful.
WARNING! It WILL BE HARD, but it does get easier as you open up and get strong- I promise!
Most people try these types of routines (there are a million on the internet) because it is uncomfortable.
I said uncomfortable- NOT Painful. Well, maybe mentally painful, but hey- if you can go out and run miles, then you can manage 5 minutes of QUALITY dynamic movement. DO NOT just go through the motion.

Then, you are committed, you have a run with range of motion and correct form and muscles balances. Then, if you're like most of us runners- if the run felt good, the day is GREAT!.
So in reality, 5 minutes of QUALITY, CONCENTRATED dynamic warm up will lead to one happy day. week. month. and well- if running is your life like it is mine- HAPPY Running = Happy Life! ha
