Sheldon currently coaches high school cross country and track with education and experience in distances 100m to the 50 miler. He has coached at both the college, elite, and recreational levels.

 

Sheldon knows the sport of distance running from many facets. As a dedicated student to our sport, the accumulation of his dedication,  knowledge and the thousands of athletes he has trained, allows him to share a unique coaching experience: he has a special knack for "reading" an athlete's motivation and psychology,  matching a program,  hen dialing in prescriptions to enhance that athletes strengths while challenging his/her weaknesses in a progressive, manageable development.

Sheldon has run marathons himself, and now dedicates his time and energy to his family and to helping others- especially students and runners! 

​

He coached Jackie from a 3:16 marathon to several 2:40 marathons, 1:16 half, 16:30 5k, and a 6:02 50 trail miler.

Like Coach Diana and Coach Sheldon, Jackie is a student of her sport and always has been. Along with her own elite athletic career, Jackie has obtained two masters degree in professional counseling and physical education and health education- resulting in a coach who can see the WHOLE person.

It is very important to me to provide our community with female coaches. We are learning more about women and their unique athletic needs in the phrase "women are not tiny men." I believe Diana, Jackie, and Sheldon have a commitment to coaching the specific needs and anatomy or our runners and that covers a WIDE spectrum ;)

What sets us apart is that we do not prescribe to ONE philosophy. Our philosophy is figuring out YOU! We know ALL of the information and have seen success using different methodologies and progressions on all types of athletes considering lifestyle, propensities, motivations, along with physical and behavioral trends. 

​

Jackie loves to problem solve! When you come to her with a goal, she will get you there in the healthiest, happiest, most effective way possible - all while modifying and prescribing based of data and development of that distinct athlete. 

​

Part of the fun of this sport is trying on different programs, having patience, testing, and then going back to the proverbial "drawing bored" to dial in what that particular athlete needs and is responding best. If you are looking for an individual program, you are in the right place.
